One of the world’s last remaining Arctic wildernesses is under threat. The Trump administration has recently finalized plans to open up Alaska’s Arctic National Wildlife Refuge to oil and gas drilling: a move that could totally destroy this area of natural beauty. One of the reasons this is even possible is because Arctic permafrost now melting at levels not expected until 2090.
