According to Safer Chemicals, Healthy Families, “In 2017, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) issued a warning to manufacturers and retailers, urging them to “eliminate the use” of organohalogen flame retardants in electronics such as TVs.” But a new study by that group and others including Toxic-Free Future, the Mind the Store campaign, found significant amounts of them in Best Buy Insignia Roku TVs and Toshiba (Hisense) Fire TVs.
